Description
Whipped Beef Tallow with Confit Garlic served with sourdough.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup beef tallow
- 1 head garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
- Sourdough bread for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Slice the top off the garlic head and drizzle with olive oil.
- Wrap the garlic in foil and roast for 45 minutes.
- Allow the garlic to cool, then squeeze the cloves into a bowl.
- Add the beef tallow to the garlic and mix well until whipped.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Serve with slices of sourdough bread.
Notes
- Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Let the tallow come to room temperature before serving.
