Ingredients

- 1 cup black beans, mashed
- 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
- 1/2 cup grated carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 whole grain burger buns
- Leafy greens for topping
- Sliced tomatoes for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or stovetop pan.
- In a bowl, combine mashed black beans, quinoa, carrots, bell pepper, breadcrumbs, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined.
- Form mixture into four patties.
- Grill patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until heated through and slightly crispy.
- Toast burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers with leafy greens and sliced tomatoes.

- Adjust seasoning according to your taste.
- Feel free to add other veggies of your choice.
- Store uncooked patties in the freezer for later use.
