Description

A rich and creamy vanilla bread pudding enhanced with prunes and chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups of bread cubes
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of pitted prunes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, prunes, and chocolate chips.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt.
  4. Pour the milk mixture over the bread mixture and let it soak for 30 minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until set and golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
