Description

A delicious Turkish Milk Cake known as Trilece, flavored with rose water.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and sugar. Add eggs and mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine whole milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk, and rose water.
  6. Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool.
  7. Poke holes in the cake using a fork.
  8. Pour the milk mixture over the cake slowly, allowing it to soak.
  9. In another bowl, whip heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  10. Spread the whipped cream over the soaked cake.
  11. Garnish with chopped pistachios.
  12. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use full-fat milk.
  • Adjust rose water to taste.
