Description
Thekua Spiced Cookies are traditional Indian cookies made with whole wheat flour, jaggery, and spices. They are crunchy and flavorful, perfect for tea time.
Ingredients

- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup jaggery, grated
- 1/2 cup coconut, grated
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour, jaggery, coconut, ginger powder, cardamom powder, and salt.
- Melt ghee and add it to the mixture.
- Add water little by little to form a dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Roll the dough into small balls and flatten them slightly.
- Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let them cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- These cookies can be enjoyed with tea or coffee.
