- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup pomegranate juice
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Form mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
- While meatballs bake, combine pomegranate juice, honey, and soy sauce in a saucepan.
- Simmer the sauce over medium heat until it thickens, about 10 minutes.
- Remove meatballs from the oven and coat them in the glaze.
- Return glazed meatballs to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use fresh pomegranate juice for best flavor.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- Can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
