- 4 pounds beef brisket
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Mix the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, and salt in a bowl.
- Place the brisket in a baking dish and coat it with the sauce mixture.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 3 hours, then remove the foil and bake for another hour.
- Let the brisket rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with extra sauce on the side.
Notes
- For best results, use a meat thermometer to ensure the brisket reaches 195°F (90°C).
- Letting the brisket rest helps retain juices.
- This dish pairs well with coleslaw and cornbread.
