Ingredients

- 1 cup cooked lentils
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 egg (or flax egg for vegan option)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or prepare your grill.
- In a large bowl, combine lentils, breadcrumbs, grated carrots, onions, garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Add olive oil and egg to the mixture, and mix well.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Place the patties on a baking sheet or grill.
- Bake for 25 minutes or grill for 6-8 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings.
