Description
These are easy slice and bake cookies that you can prepare in advance and bake when you’re ready.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugars together.
- Add the vanilla and mix well.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Divide the dough into two logs and wrap in plastic wrap.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the dough into 1/4 inch thick rounds.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- Dough can be frozen for up to 3 months.
