Description
Pozole Verde with Chicken is a traditional Mexican soup made with hominy, chicken, and green tomatillo sauce.
Ingredients

- 2 cups hominy
- 1 lb chicken breast
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup tomatillos, husked and chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeño, chopped
- 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Rinse the hominy and set aside.
- In a pot, combine chicken, broth, onion, and garlic. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer until chicken is cooked, about 20 minutes.
- Remove chicken, shred it, and return it to the pot.
- Add tomatillos, jalapeño, and hominy. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Stir in cilantro and season with salt.
- Serve hot with lime wedges.
Notes
- Adjust spice level by adding more jalapeño.
- Use leftover chicken for quicker preparation.
- Garnish with radishes and avocado for extra flavor.
