Description

These stuffed bell peppers contain ground beef and rice in tomato sauce. You bake them until the peppers soften and the cheese melts.

  • 6 bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cut the tops off the peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Drain the fat from the pan.
  5. Mix the beef with rice, tomato sauce, onion, and spices.
  6. Fill each pepper with the beef mixture.
  7. Place the peppers in a baking dish.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and top each pepper with cheese.
  10. Bake for 10 more minutes until the cheese melts.
