  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • 1 cup cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Heat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Butter your baking dish.
  3. Boil water with piloncillo, cinnamon, and cloves.
  4. Simmer the syrup for 10 minutes.
  5. Toast the bread slices.
  6. Layer bread in the dish.
  7. Add raisins, peanuts, and cheese.
  8. Repeat the layers.
  9. Pour syrup over the dish.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes.

Notes

  • Use stale bread.
  • Replace piloncillo with brown sugar.
