Description

Panjiri is a traditional North Indian sweet made from whole wheat flour, ghee, and nuts. It is often consumed for its energy-boosting properties.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup jaggery, grated
  • 1/2 cup mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios)
  • 1/4 cup poppy seeds
  • 1/4 cup melon seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup dried coconut, grated

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add whole wheat flour and roast until golden brown.
  3. Add poppy seeds and melon seeds; roast for a few minutes.
  4. Stir in the grated jaggery until melted.
  5. Add mixed nuts, cardamom powder, and coconut; mix well.
  6. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  7. Once cool, shape the mixture into small balls or spread it on a plate and cut into pieces.
