Description

Palestinian Musakhan is a traditional dish featuring sumac chicken served on taboon bread.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons sumac
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 4 pieces of taboon bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté onions until soft.
  3. Add chicken thighs to the pan and season with sumac, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook chicken until browned on both sides.
  5. Transfer chicken and onions to a baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
  7. Warm the taboon bread in the oven for 5 minutes.
  8. Serve chicken and onions over the warm taboon bread.
