Description
Mushroom Biryani is a fragrant rice dish with mushrooms and spices.
Ingredients

- 2 cups basmati rice
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons biryani masala
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup chopped mint leaves
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons ghee or oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Rinse basmati rice under cold water until water runs clear.
- Soak rice in water for 30 minutes.
- Heat ghee or oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they release moisture.
- Add yogurt, biryani masala, and salt. Mix well.
- Add soaked rice and water. Stir gently.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
- Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh mushrooms for best flavor.
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- Garnish with fried onions for extra crunch.
