Mozzarella Chicken in Basil Cream Sauce 1 Pan Bliss

Description

You cook chicken breasts in a skillet and cover them with mozzarella. You make a sauce with cream, garlic, and basil.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup basil
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Season your chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Place chicken in the skillet and cook for 6 minutes per side.
  4. Remove chicken from the pan.
  5. Add garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Pour cream into the skillet and simmer.
  7. Stir in parmesan and basil until the sauce thickens.
  8. Place chicken back into the skillet.
  9. Top chicken with mozzarella cheese.
  10. Cover the pan for 2 minutes to melt the cheese.

Notes

  • Use basil for flavor.
  • Check that chicken reaches 165 degrees.
