Description
Modak Sweet Dumplings are traditional Indian sweets made from rice flour and filled with coconut and jaggery.
Ingredients

- 1 cup rice flour
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 1/2 cup jaggery
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Boil water in a pot and add salt.
- Add rice flour to the boiling water and mix well.
- Cover and let it steam for a few minutes.
- In another pan, heat grated coconut and jaggery until melted.
- Add cardamom powder to the coconut mixture and mix.
- Take small portions of the rice dough and shape them into cups.
- Add a spoonful of the coconut filling into each cup.
- Seal the dumplings by pinching the edges together.
- Steam the dumplings for about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Ensure the rice flour is fine for better texture.
- Adjust the sweetness according to your taste.
- Serve with ghee for added flavor.
