Ingredients

- 2 cups chickpeas, cooked
- 500g lamb or beef, minced
- 4 pieces pita bread, toasted and broken
- 2 cups plain yogurt
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Pine nuts for garnish
Instructions
- In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until golden.
- Add minced lamb or beef, cook until browned.
- Stir in cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a serving dish, layer toasted pita bread, followed by chickpeas.
- Spread the meat mixture over the chickpeas.
- Top with yogurt and garnish with pine nuts.
Notes
- Serve warm for best flavor.
- Adjust spices to your taste.
- Can be made vegetarian by omitting meat.
