Description
Lamb Shank Nihari is a spicy stew made with tender lamb shanks and rich spices.
Ingredients

- 2 lamb shanks
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 teaspoons Nihari spice mix
- 4 cups water
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
- 1 lemon, juiced
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Add sliced onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in garlic and ginger, cook for 2 minutes.
- Add lamb shanks and brown on all sides.
- Mix in Nihari spice mix and salt.
- Add water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 2 hours.
- Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with cilantro and lemon juice.
