Description
Delicious Knafeh Chocolate Crunch Bars with layers of rich chocolate and crispy pastry.
Ingredients
Scale
- 200g of kataifi pastry
- 100g of unsalted butter, melted
- 200g of dark chocolate, chopped
- 150g of sweetened condensed milk
- 50g of crushed nuts (pistachios or walnuts)
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix kataifi pastry with melted butter.
- Press half of the mixture into a baking pan.
- Melt chocolate with sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over low heat.
- Add vanilla extract and stir until smooth.
- Pour chocolate mixture over the pressed kataifi layer.
- Sprinkle crushed nuts on top of the chocolate layer.
- Cover with the remaining kataifi mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be served warm or cold.
- Pairs well with a scoop of ice cream.
