Description

Japanese gyoza filled with chicken and ginger.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 package gyoza wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground chicken, ginger, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  2. Take a gyoza wrapper and place a small amount of filling in the center.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water.
  4. Fold the wrapper in half and pinch to seal.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Add gyoza and cook until the bottom is golden brown.
  7. Add water to the pan and cover to steam for 5 minutes.
  8. Remove the lid and cook until the water has evaporated and the gyoza are crispy.

Notes

  • Serve with soy sauce for dipping.
  • You can freeze uncooked gyoza for later use.
  • Adjust ginger according to taste.
