Description

Japanese Chicken Katsu Sando is a crispy chicken cutlet sandwich served on fluffy milk bread.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 slices of fluffy milk bread
  • Ton katsu sauce
  • Shredded cabbage

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Dip each breast in flour, then in beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  5. Remove chicken and drain on paper towels.
  6. Slice the chicken into strips.
  7. Spread tonkatsu sauce on one side of each slice of bread.
  8. Layer shredded cabbage and chicken on two slices of bread.
  9. Top with the remaining bread slices and slice in half to serve.

  • Use fresh chicken for best results.
  • Adjust the amount of sauce to your taste.
  • Serve with pickles for added flavor.
