Description

Hibiscus Bissap is a refreshing Senegalese drink made from dried hibiscus flowers.


Ingredients

  • 8 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • Juice of 2 limes

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add dried hibiscus flowers and boil for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes.
  4. Strain the mixture into a pitcher.
  5. Add sugar, lime juice, and mint leaves. Stir well.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves.
