Ingredients

- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
- 3 large egg whites
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Food coloring (optional)
- Buttercream or ganache for filling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, sift almond flour and powdered sugar together.
- In another bowl, beat egg whites until foamy.
- Add granulated sugar gradually and beat until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in the almond flour mixture and vanilla extract.
- If using, add food coloring and mix until combined.
- Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe heart shapes onto a baking sheet.
- Let them sit for 30 minutes to form a skin.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, then let cool.
- Fill with buttercream or ganache.

- Ensure egg whites are at room temperature.
- Use a silicone baking mat for best results.
