Description

A delicious, halal version of the classic carbonara pasta.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 100g halal bacon or turkey bacon
  • 2 eggs
  • 50g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.
  2. In a pan, cook the halal bacon until crispy.
  3. Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and grated Parmesan cheese.
  5. Drain spaghetti and add it to the pan with bacon and garlic.
  6. Remove from heat and quickly mix in the egg and cheese mixture.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Make sure the bacon is fully halal certified.
  • You can use any type of pasta.
  • For a creamier sauce, add a splash of cream.
