Description
A delicious and filling Halal beef roti wrap, perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups of whole wheat flour
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp of cumin
- 1 tsp of coriander
- 1 tsp of paprika
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 cup of lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, sliced
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour with water to make a soft dough. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- In a pan, heat oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into a flat circle.
- Cook each roti on a hot skillet for about 2 minutes on each side.
- Assemble the wrap by placing beef mixture, lettuce, and tomato on the roti.
- Wrap tightly and serve warm.
Notes
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- You can add other vegetables as desired.
- Wraps can be made in advance and stored in the fridge.
