Description

A delicious and filling Halal beef roti wrap, perfect for lunch or dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of cumin
  • 1 tsp of coriander
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 cup of lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour with water to make a soft dough. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. In a pan, heat oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into a flat circle.
  6. Cook each roti on a hot skillet for about 2 minutes on each side.
  7. Assemble the wrap by placing beef mixture, lettuce, and tomato on the roti.
  8. Wrap tightly and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust spices according to your taste.
  • You can add other vegetables as desired.
  • Wraps can be made in advance and stored in the fridge.
