- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 cup salsa verde
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium high heat.
- Brush chicken with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Place chicken on the grill grate.
- Cook for 6 minutes on each side.
- Spoon salsa verde over each piece of chicken.
- Top each breast with a slice of pepper jack cheese.
- Close the grill lid for 1 minute to melt the cheese.
- Remove chicken from the grill when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Let the meat rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve.
