Instructions

  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugars together.
  4. Add the egg and molasses to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  6. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
  7. Roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes.
  8. Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  9. Allow cookies to cool before decorating.
