Description
Gajar ka Halwa is a traditional Indian dessert made from grated carrots, milk, sugar, and nuts.
Ingredients

- 500g carrots, grated
- 1 liter full-fat milk
- 200g sugar
- 100g ghee (clarified butter)
- 50g cashews, chopped
- 50g almonds, chopped
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a heavy pan.
- Add grated carrots and sauté for 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the milk and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer until the milk thickens.
- Add sugar and cook until it dissolves.
- Stir in cardamom powder and mixed nuts.
- Cook for another 5 minutes and serve hot.
Notes
- You can adjust the sugar to taste.
- For extra flavor, add some khoya or condensed milk.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a twist.
