Description
A delicious vegetarian burger made with falafel and topped with pickled onions.
Ingredients

- 1 can chickpeas (15 oz), drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- Oil for frying
- 4 burger buns
- 1 cup pickled onions
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper.
- Pulse until you have a coarse mixture.
- Add the egg and blend until combined.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers with pickled onions on the buns.
Notes
- Serve with your favorite sauces.
- Can be baked instead of fried for a healthier option.
