Ingredients

  • 200g pitted dates
  • 100g walnuts, chopped
  • 250g all-purpose flour
  • 150g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 100ml milk
  • 50ml vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Chop the dates and walnuts.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  6. Add dates and walnuts to the mixture.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool before slicing.
