Instructions

  2. Score the skin of the duck breasts in a crisscross pattern.
  3. Season the duck breasts with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the duck breasts skin side down in a cold, dry skillet.
  5. Turn the heat to medium and cook until the skin is crispy, about 6-8 minutes.
  6. Flip the duck breasts and transfer the skillet to the oven.
  7. Bake for 6-8 minutes for medium-rare.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
  9. In a saucepan, combine blackberries, chicken broth, balsamic vinegar, and honey. Cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens.
  10. Stir in butter until melted.
