Crispy Buffalo Cauliflower Steaks are a spicy and flavorful plant-based dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cauliflower
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and slice it into thick steaks.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add water to the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
  5. Dip each cauliflower steak into the batter, coating both sides.
  6. Place the coated steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Drizzle olive oil over the steaks.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  9. Remove from the oven and brush with buffalo sauce.
  10. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Notes

  • Serve with celery sticks and ranch dressing.
  • Adjust the spice level of buffalo sauce to your preference.
  • These can be made vegan by using a plant-based flour.
