Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon cardamom
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, butter, and powdered sugar until crumbly.
  3. Add egg yolk and vanilla extract; mix to form a dough.
  4. Press the dough into tart pans.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, then cool.
  6. In another bowl, blend cream cheese, sugar, egg, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cardamom.
  7. Pour the mixture into the cooled tart shells.
  8. Bake for another 20 minutes.
  9. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • Store tarts in the refrigerator.
  • Can substitute nutmeg for cardamom if desired.
