Description

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosewater
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder.
  3. In another bowl, whip egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar.
  4. Beat until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites.
  6. Add rosewater and mix gently.
  7. Pipe circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Let them sit for 30 minutes to form a skin.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
  10. For the filling, heat heavy cream and pour over chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth.
  11. Let the ganache cool slightly, then pipe onto half of the macarons and sandwich with the other halves.
