Description
A spicy and cheesy toast popular in Mumbai.
Ingredients

- 4 slices of bread
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped capsicum
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Butter for spreading
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
- In a bowl, mix cheese, onions, tomatoes, capsicum, green chilies, red chili powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Place the bread slices butter-side down on a baking tray.
- Spread the cheese mixture evenly on top of the bread slices.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts and turns golden.
- Remove from the oven and cut into pieces.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use any bread of your choice.
- Adjust the amount of chilies based on your spice preference.
- Garnish with coriander if desired.
