Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons chai tea leaves
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar together.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
- In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream and chai leaves until simmering.
- Strain the cream and mix it into the batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing and adding filling.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be served chilled or at room temperature.
