Description

You make a crisp sandwich with basil pesto and melted cheese on sourdough bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons basil pesto
  • 2 slices provolone cheese
  • 0.25 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  2. Spread pesto on the other side of each slice.
  3. Place one slice butter-side down in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Layer provolone and mozzarella on the bread.
  5. Place the second bread slice on top with the butter-side up.
  6. Cook until the bottom turns golden brown.
  7. Flip the sandwich.
  8. Cook until the cheese melts and the bread is toasted.
