Description

A hearty dish with layers of beef, zucchini, and ricotta cheese.


Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 2 medium zucchinis, sliced
  • 250g ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. Add ground beef, cook until browned.
  5. Stir in diced tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. In a baking dish, layer zucchini slices, then half the beef mixture, and half the ricotta.
  7. Repeat the layers, finishing with zucchini on top.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.

  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
