- 2 ripe plantains
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Peel the plantains and slice them diagonally into 1-inch thick pieces.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Add the plantain slices and fry until golden, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the plantains and drain on paper towels.
- Flatten each piece using a flat object.
- Return the flattened plantains to the hot oil and fry until crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels again.
- Sprinkle with salt before serving.
